The Elk City Police Department is comprised of 1 Chief of Police, 1 Major, 2 Captains, 18 Full Time Police Officers, 3 Detectives, 2 Full Time School Resource Officers, 6 Reserve Police Officers, 11 Dispatchers/Jailers, 1 Court Clerk and 1 Animal Control Officer to support the administrative and technical aspects of our department.

The department has developed a partnership with the citizens through community policing. Our police department provides enforcement in every facet of criminal activity. They are committed to preserving the peace and providing quality service in our community. Elk City claims one of the lowest crime rates in the State of Oklahoma for a community with a population of over 10,000.
