The City of Elk City is looking for a Seasonal Pool Attendant.
Job Summary:
The Pool Attendant is responsible for ensuring a clean, safe, and enjoyable environment for patrons at a local pool. The Pool Attendant will perform various duties such as maintaining the cleanliness of the pool and surrounding areas, ensuring that pool equipment is in working order, and enforcing pool rules.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the cleanliness of the pool, deck, and surrounding areas by performing regular maintenance tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and removing debris.
- Test the chemical levels of the pool water and add chemicals as needed to maintain safe and healthy water conditions.
- Monitor and maintain the proper functioning of pool equipment such as pumps, filters, and chlorinators.
- Enforce pool rules and regulations to ensure the safety and enjoyment of all patrons.
- Provide excellent customer service by answering questions and addressing concerns of pool patrons.
- Perform opening and closing procedures for the pool, including setting up and taking down equipment.
- Keep accurate records of pool usage and maintenance activities.
- Assist with other duties as needed, including setting up chairs and umbrellas for patrons and providing first aid when necessary.
- Attend regular training sessions to maintain and improve skills.
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 15 years of age.
- Possess a valid certification in first aid and CPR/AED.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and perform physical labor.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Knowledge of pool maintenance and cleaning techniques.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Pay for this position: $11.50 per hour.
