Steve Dozhier, Park Superintendent, and his crew work year round maintaining and enhancing Elk City`s Parks and Elk City Lake.

Ackley Park is one of Elk City‘s featured attractions. It is home to the Centennial Carousel with 36 hand-carved wooden horses, Old Town Miniature Golf and the Choctaw Express Miniature Train.

In addition to Ackley Park, this department encourages area residents to enjoy the outdoors by maintaining five smaller parks; Kiwanis, Rotary, Lions, Jaycee and Lincoln Park, located through out the community, five sports facilities; Red Rock Statium, Burson Field, Trissel Field, Girls Five Plex, Boy's Five Plex, and Elk City Lake.
