City Notice
The City has worked diligently and completed removing all trash in the City's alleyways. The City would like to inform residents that it is against City Codes to put trash in alleys, in and around the dumpsters. A resident who needs items removed and can not take them to the landfill, may call the City at 225-1414 to request permission to place the items and make arrangements to have the trash removed for a fee that will be applied to residents water bill. This can not be done without prior permission or it is a violation of the City Codes. As the alleys are serviced by trash trucks, the drivers will report any new trash in and around dumpsters and the City will investigate to see who is in violation. Residents can call in anonymously to report any activity in their alley that they feel would warrant investigation. Residents found in violation of the City Codes may be assessed a fine of $100.00 plus the cost of removing the debris. Items that can not be placed in dumpsters are: mattresses, box springs, concrete, rock, roofing materials, appliances and oil. Dead animals and fish waste can only be put into a dumpster if they are tied off in a plastic trash bag. We are constantly working to improve our ability to keep our City clean but without the support of the community it makes our efforts difficult. The City Employees want to thank you for any assistance you can give.
