The Carnegie Room, an attractive 26’x30’ carpeted room on the lower level can be used by the community for socially useful and cultural activities and discussion of current public questions. Seating is available for 48. Room priority use goes to library activities. Available on equal terms to all groups in the community regardless of the beliefs and affiliations of their members, users are asked to help maintain its cleanliness and reimburse the library for electricity with a minimum fee of $10. Private or profit-motive groups must pay a usage fee of $25.
Smoking and the serving of alcohol are prohibited. Scheduling is maintained by the head librarian. Standing reservations for room use longer than 3 months must be reviewed and approved by the Library Commission.
