"Commotion" The Bronze Bucking Horse

Commotion was the Beutler brothers three time World Champion Bareback Horse.   He was honored at his retirement at the 2006 NFR. Commotions larger then life size bronze statue was delivered to the Museum on January 19th, 2012.

T.D. Kelsey out of Guthrie, Texas is the artist which sculptured this monument sized bronze bucking horse.  Kelsey’s work is found in private and public collections worldwide.  He has also received the honor of having one of his sculptures chosen by the National Sculpture Society.

This project has taken a little over one year to complete and its arrival has been anticipated by many.   Money was raised and donated to this project by the Western Oklahoma Historical Society, local citizens, friends of the Beutlers, the Museum Board along with others.   Visitors can stop by and see the bronze along with the history of the Beutler Brothers in the Old Town Museum.
