Ackley Park is a shinning star beckoning weary travelers to pause and refresh. For local and area residents it is a luxury to have such a regale place to bask in the sunshine. The park constantly has activities occurring for people of all ages. Some of the summer activities include fishing, miniature golf, train rides, carousel rides, swimming, tennis courts, volleyball, baseball and softball fields. The feature attraction for winter is the enchanting "Christmas in the Park" which showcases one of the largest displays of Christmas lights in Oklahoma.

Elk City also has several community parks scattered through out the town for residents to enjoy.
Elk City Lake is located just south of town. There is a 750 acre park along with 250 acre lake. Residents enjoy fishing (Stocked with Saugeye, Large Mouth Bass, Channel Catfish, Hybrid Striper), boating, and picnicing. Campers can also take advantage of the five FREE RV spots with water and electrical hook-ups.
Elk City Golf and Country Club is located just a few miles south of town on Highway 6. The 18 hole course has a pro shop and snack bar and is open to the public.
Check out the new "Skate Park" located on the west side of Ackley Park.
Peeler Park located on South Washington has six soccer fields.
Burson Field, Brooks Trissell field, and Doug Britton Field, are all home to softball and baseball in the summer. These tournament quality fields are always full of action in the summer.
Ackley Park West includes two 5-plex ballfields. Both the Girl's Softball and Boy's Baseball complexes are home to 5 fields, concession stands and plenty of parking.
Acquatic Center. Located in the middle of the park complex, perfect for cooling off on those hot summer days.
Tennis Courts. There are four courts located next to the swimming pool.
Red Rock Stadium is home to High School, Junior High, and Summer League baseball.
