Elk City residents can utilize the facilities at three institutions of higher education within a 60 mile radius of home. Southwestern Oklahoma State University operates out of two campuses. One campus is in Weatherford and the other in Sayre. Western Oklahoma State College is a 2 year Junior College nearby.
